CR Surf Travel Company to Donate Prizes for Save the Waves Film Festival
CR Surf Travel Company was created to help surfers find the best places to surf in Costa Rica. Since 1998, they have posted surf reports, news, and forecasts on http://www.crsurf.com, and since the beginning have helped environmental groups to protect our oceans, waves, and beaches. They are a retail member of the Surfrider Foundation, a 1% for the Planet member, and have donated money and products to deserving groups for the last 13 years, plus have been active in volunteering for local campaigns (ex. - protesting tuna farms near Pavones, fighting cruise ship pollution in Florida, and promoting the "Save Sloat" campaign in Ocean Beach)
For the Save the Waves event, CR Surf Travel Co. is donating a new 8'6" WaveTribe double boardbag, made from hemp and recycled tarp, plus other sustainable materials. Included are two CRsurf t-shirts, made from 50% recycled cotton and 50% recycled plastic. "By promoting eco-friendly surf products, we can keep our oceans clean for the next generation of surf travelers" explains Greg Gordon, CEO and CR surf travel expert. "Save the Waves has done an excellent job protecting local and international surf destinations and we want to help them succeed in their mission."
