We have been closely following the investigation of the French couple that have been missing since March 31st of last month.
The OIJ has had no luck in finding them and has had few clues to work with. There were rumors circulating that they had possibly drowned, and this was even mentioned on the news.
But CAP leaders visited the Rio Naranjo where the couple's vehicle and most of their belongings were found, and confirmed that a drowning was close to impossible after measuring less than 50 cm of water at the river's deepest point.
After a conversation with the authorities in charge of the investigation they too have dispelled the idea of a drowning, leading to the belief that foul play was involved.
CAP believes that someone, somewhere has valuable information leading to the couple's whereabouts and information that could possibly lead to the arrest of their assailants. We are confident that offering a minimum reward of 1 million Colones (approximately $2000.00 U.S.) could bring this information to the authorities.
CAP has spoken to the OIJ and they are in favor of the idea of offering a reward for information. They have agreed to handle the calls that will come in after the reward is posted on national television tonight at 7pm and 11pm on channels 6 and 7.
CAP needs your help to make this happen, as time is of the essence. We are calling on all CAP members to step up and donate what you can to build up the award amount which will hopefully save two lives. At the very least we hope to bring closure for everyone who knew them, and help to prosecute whoever is involved in this apparent crime.
All donated monies will be held aside and payed out only for information leading to the discovery of the couple's whereabouts, or the arrest of the individuals involved in their disappearance. If, after a set period of time there is no information or the couple is found by other means not associated with the reward, then all collected donations will be held in a "reserve fund" to be used in future similar cases.

Hemos estado siguiendo de cerca la investigación de la pareja de franceses que desaparecieron desde el 31 de marzo pasado.
El OIJ no ha tenido suerte en la búsqueda y ha tenido pocas pistas para trabajar. Hubo rumores que circulan de que se habían ahogado, y esto se ha mencionado tan siquiera en las noticias.
Pero los líderes de la CAP visitaron el Río Naranjo donde el vehículo de la pareja y la mayoría de sus pertenencias se encontraron, y confirmó que un ahogamiento fue casi imposible después de medir menos de 50 cm de agua en el punto más profundo del río.
Después de una conversación con las autoridades encargadas de la investigación se concluyó por parte de ellos también que la idea de un ahogamiento es casi imposible, dando lugar a la creencia de que el juego sucio estaba involucrado.
CAP cree que alguien, en algún lugar tiene información valiosa que llevará a dar con el paradero de la pareja y la información que podría conducir a la detención de sus agresores. Estamos seguros de que ofreciendo una recompensa mínima de 1 millón de colones (aproximadamente $ 2,000.00 EE.UU.)se podría traer esta información a las autoridades.
CAP ha mantenido comunicación con el OIJ y están a favor de la idea de ofrecer una recompensa por la información. Ambos grupos se han puesto de acuerdo para manejar las llamadas que vendrán después de la publicación de la recompensa en la televisión nacional esta noche a las 7 pm y 11 pm en los canales 6 y 7.
CAP necesita su ayuda para que esto suceda, ya que el tiempo es la esencia. Hacemos un llamado a todas las personas anuentes a colaborar a dar el paso y donar lo que pueda para aumentar el importe de adjudicación o recompensa que se espera dar para salvar dos vidas. Por lo menos esperamos acercar a todas las personas que los conocían, y ayudar a enjuiciar a quien está involucrado en este aparente crimen.
Todo el dinero donado se reservará en un fondo común y será destinado exclusivamente para la recompensa de quien posea la información que conduzca al descubrimiento del paradero de la pareja, o la detención de los individuos involucrados en su desaparición. Si, después de un período de tiempo no hay información o la pareja se encuentra por otros medios no asociados con la recompensa, todas las donaciones recibidas se canalizarán a un "fondo de reserva" que se utilizará en el futuro casos similares.
