Breakdown:

Caribbean Coast - A quiet week on the Caribbean, with waves maxing at chest high Tuesday and dropping to mostly knee high for the rest of the week through the weekend.

Pacific Coast - Continued SSW swell keeps it a couple of feet overhead through Tuesday, but drops down to headhigh by Friday. Then a new SSW arrives pushing it up to 2-3 feet overhead for Saturday and Sunday. There is a little blockage from the Galapagos but expect plenty of big sets this weekend.

The Long Shot - No big swells expected for the following week, so it will drop to chest to head high for the northern beaches and be a foot bigger for the central and south Pacific zones with south facing beaches.

* The forecast is made using 15 years of wave model and report analysis, but can't be accurate 100% of the time. To do your own, use our links.

4/19 - Fun, fun, fun swell! The south of the couple days has given us a great run of waves. A new small long period south is moving in and should give us a great easter weekend. Another and bigger south will start filling in on Sunday. It will start with 20 second periods! The beach breaks will be firing. Take advantage of the good early morning offshore and high tide conditions and get yourself some tube time! Don't forget to pick up a souvenir T, sticker, or mug to help support the local Howler Monkeys. You can find them in Azul Profundo Boutique or Luna Llena hotel in Tamarindo. Thanks and be safe!
