Today we had beautiful just overhead waves in the afternoon with light off shores.

The wind is off shore in the morning and the high tide surfing window should begin in the next few days in case the wind starts to shift in the afternoon.

If you want to help protect the turtles and don’t come by motor boat to Grande and avoid the motor boat tours in the estuary to conserve the salt water forest in the park.

Bring insect repellant, sun screen, and rain gear - a girlfriend/boyfriend wouldn’t hurt.

Take the ferry boat to Tamarindo and avoid the toothy wildlife.

Tamarindo

Seafari Costa Rica

- 7/13

Fun waves for long boards in Tamarindo's sand bards, 2ft consistent sets with up to 3/4 waves every 7-9 minutes, a nice S/SW combo with enough seconds to ride it long and clean to the shore, light off shore winds until early afternoon, then some days switching, some other days just stays off shore all day. Fairly crowded inside, it is Costa Rica summer vacations and that bonds with the families that visit Tamarindo from all over the world.

Avellanas been more exposed to the swell direction, did activated the river mouth within the low tide in the mornings, 3-4ft solid but not so consistent sets, thankful the crowd is friendly to talk and share good stories, other wise it felt like 20 minutes among sets; within the high tide the sand bars had something to give and plenty of people jumped in later on the day.

Wondering if there still uncrowded surf breaks on a popular surf destination like Costa Rica? Let's wrap up boards, wax and go to some remaining secret spots, sing in the adventure of a Premium Surf Vacation with Seafari Costa Rica, from airport to the waves, all tailored services, looking forward to maximize your wave count. info.seafaricr@gmail.com
