Caribbean Coast - ENE swell arriving Sunday with a 9 second period and maxing Monday with some overhead sets. Then it drops quickly leaving small surf for the rest of the week.

Pacific Coast - Smaller surf Friday but some SSW swell pushes it back up to 1 foot overhead by late Saturday and that is followed by a bigger SSW swell (16 second period) to arrive Monday with some waves reaching double overhead. It stays big Tuesday but then fades back to overhead through Friday as the swell changes to more of a Southwest angle.

The Long Shot - A few head high days after that followed by more foot overhead South swell arriving by the 22nd.

9/12 - The surfing conditions have been pretty rough this week with the high tides in the afternoon. Mostly blown out, just overhead, conditions. We can start surfing again in the morning in a couple of days and that will help. Watch the weather reports for off- shores here and be on it and you could get some pretty good uncrowded surf. The water is still clear and warm and the rain has been mostly light in the afternoon. Bring a girlfriend.

9/10 - Tamarindo’s river mouth has been pretty consistent along this past SSW swell, with 2-3ft waves and lots of people.

Point breaks like Avellanas Lil Hawaii and Playa Negra where the places to be along the weekend, 4-5 ft some 6-7 ft every 15-20 minutes, but so worth to wait for, making it up to 3-4 hour sessions.

We are happy to welcome the rain; it’s been consistent and more generous for about 3 days now.

9/10 - A dark morning with few people in the water, with a size of the shoulders to head high and offshore wind. We hope the waves are good this afternoon. Have a beautiful day!!

9/12 - GO CARLOS GO! Surf was great yesterday evening crossed up medium swell from the west or NW and really technical with a few headhigh solid sets coming thru. Glassy afternoons are the norm the last few days and the tides are high due the moon so JACO is the spot! All kinds of fun here! Business is picking up and we have out independence sale going on but you need to come by to see what kind of deals we have for you! These are custom bro deals, no fooling anyone into thinking somehow we can give you 50% off the whole shop [impossible unless your closing or overcharging ] but some real honest deals for everyone and our best deals are for our tried and true clients! Don’t miss it! PURA VIDA, Chuck and the SAME OLD CREW at WOW SURF!

9/10 - Another peak and barrel morning today. Dropping tide, strong offshore and at times no shortage of overhead clean peaks. Just stay away from the dumping walls. Sparce crowds lately, in the water and on the beach. Stormy afternoons typical with plenty of showy thunder and lightning. Some sparkling clean windows after rainstorms as usual. Nothing close to Dominical today but Hermosa South and Dominicalito have had their usual smaller and mellower versions. Punta Dominical has been mostly unproductive recently. Hotel Roca Verde has Friday Nights dialed in with great food and high-end rock & roll. Ben Jammin' and the Howlers featuring Nancy Buchan and her transcendental electric fiddle make every Friday night a party worth remembering.
